The
Sturgeon River Trail system is 9 miles north of Chisholm and 6 miles
east of McCarthy State Park. There are 4 parking areas from Chisholm:
1. Drive 9 miles north on Hwy 73, turn left on Forest Rd 279, parking
lot at corner.
2. Drive 10.5 miles north on Hwy 73, turn left on Forest Rd 703,
parking lot along hwy.
3. Drive 12 miles north on Hwy 73, turn left on County Rd 65, drive
1.3 miles to parking lot.
4. Drive 14.5 miles north on Hwy 73, park off the highway on east
side, 1/4 mile north of County Rd 688 jct. Trail starts on west
side of highway - this lot may not be plowed in winter. |
